Class completed and onto the Toronto Nightlife

So the training class for me is over. Everyone took the final test today. Not very difficult, all I had to do was pay attention during the class and the answers were fairly easy. I don’t think I aced the test by any stretch but I am sure I passed. I had a mild brain freeze on the question that asked what the acronym ‘DBA’ stood for. The only thing that I could think of was Doing Business As. Of course the answer is Database Administrator, but I know I got that question wrong.
I volunteered to be the first to give my presentation to the class on NetSuite. I had a quick PowerPoint presentation that gave a high level view of the amazing benefits of NetSuite structured towards a fictitious business prospect. That flowed very well I thought. There are some changes I’ll change to it based on the feedback I got from the group, but it was solid. After the presentation, I gave a demonstration using NetSuite on the easy and effective way that a company can collect leads, process them into opportunities and sales orders, fulfill the order and collect payment.
This is the only application that can really completely manage a small or mid-size business. I can’t wait to get some companies on the phone and show them how easy it is to run their front and back office operations all in one system.
After the class and a quick stop to the hotel, Chris and Stephanie (The other sales people from the San Mateo office) took the Mercedes SUV rental and drove into downtown Toronto. The city reminds me alot of San Francisco. I could have swore at one point that I was driving down Market street.
We stopped in “little Italy” for dinner and went to Coco Lezzone for dinner. Not very impressive from the outside, but inside was a different story. The dinner was great and after hanging out for a bit, got back into the car and drove through downtown and then headed back to the hotel. (Couldn’t stay out too late, the others still had to give their presentations on Friday.)
I’ll get on a plane and arrive back in California by late afternoon. Saturday is the company holiday party and those are always a good time.
