I’ve had a lot of free time lately. OK. Not so much free time, but without a 8-5 job I have had more time to do other things primarily look for an 8-5. Other than that I have been taking a bit more time to write both on the website as well as code some new sites. SOCOM Sales was started with the intent of adding sales information I thought of as well as posts that I found interesting that dealt with sales tips, sales tools and other relevant selling topics.

I got involved with some online marketing forums and blogs to find ways to increase my traffic and get some better ideas on ways to make the SOCOM Sales site better. I had so many new sites to follow and each had so much information ranging from monetization to building traffic and other SEO tips that I made a new site to share the information. SOCOM Marketing is that site and if you are interested in learning about search engine optimization and other great online marketing tips.

This site is much further along than the others I have been working on but each one is coming along much quicker now that I can dedicate a few hours a day to them.

I was a little devastated when I lost my job. I was not surprised, I saw the company having problems. So it took a day or two to let the shock pass by then it I went into action mode and started making things happen. Instead of applying for every job that had openings which would have been my typical activity, I am only applying to positions that I know I will be great at. Since there are fewer positions I am a great fit for than others, it has been easy to focus in on them but I have had some time on my hands that needed to be filled by other productive activities.
